Is anyone having problem logging into the BPI Trade site? It's so slow today that after logging in, it can't even display the main page completely Angry

Caveat: Continuously learning.

Lipat na ng broker boss. Kung convenience of funding ng account ang habol mo sa BPI, available din yan sa ibang broker. Pwede ka rin mag pondo ng account via online thru Bpiexpressonline sa ilang brokers.

I'm so fed up with BPITrade. Can anyone please recommend a good online broker?

My main concerns, in order of importance:
1. The BPITrade site is always experiencing downtime, and poor response time twisted
2. Outside of trading hours, BPITrade only allows posting of orders between 9:00am and 9:30am. You cannot post at night when you have done your homework twisted You have to wait until 9:00am the following day.
3. Fund transfer from my BPI account to my BPITrade account has a lag of 1 day, i.e., if I transfer funds today, I will be able to use it only by tomorrow.
4. My funds are with BPI, I need to be able to fund my new broker account via BPIExpressOnline.
5. BPITrade does not have GTC; only GTW and GTM. You have to go through the tedium of re-posting your orders.
6. Research papers come out too late in the trading day

Thank you all in advance.

I'm using COL and Maketrade. Now for your concerns.

1.) In the past COL have been experiencing some downtime. But as of writing I haven't experienced any so far. With Maketrade, no downtime whatsoever except for occasional maintenance which they usually do after trading hours or at weekends.

2.) Both COL and Maketrade allows you to place Off Hours trades. They also allow you to place a GTC order.

3.) Funds are usually credited within 24 hours.

4.) You can definitely fund both your COL and Maketrade account via BPIexpressonline. For COL you can enrol it in the bills payment just like your utility bills and proceed with the funding immediately after enrolment. For Maketrade you have to enrol your account in the credit card section. Then you have to print out the enrolment form and submit it to your bank. Once approved, it will be included in your bills payment on your BPIExpressonline account. Enrolment can be sluggish though, took me about 2 weeks before the account got enrolled. When funding your account via online, you still have to send the bank confirmation to maketrade while for COL it is not needed anymore.

5.) Both broker have GTC order. I haven't tried though if you can post a GTC order on COL during off hours but for Maketrade you definitely can.

6.) Both have research materials, stock picks and recommendations. Though for Maketrade, it usually comes out a bit late. And as for Maketrade, they usually send out a report on how the market performed at the end of the day. So at least you are informed on the happenings even if you were not monitoring the market.

I usually don't follow their picks. If they give a buy signal and they are buying, then I'll probably buy too.

There are other online brokers out there too. You can probably sign up for a trial account so that you can check out their interface. Unfortunately for Maketrade, they don't offer a trial account. I believe there's a thread here for Maketrade with snapshots of their platform posted including the pros and the cons.

That's been going on since yesterday. I was not able to trade yesterday since my trading balance is erroneously zeroed out. Double posting of trades from the previous days resulted in such a situation.

This is getting to be very frustrating twisted

This is what's on the landing page:

8/27/2014 Our website will be unavailable this morning. For manual orders, please call 816.9189, 816.9724 and 845.5617. We apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you.

Then, they have the gall to post this...

8/27/2014 We are experiencing heavy call volumes in our hotline numbers. Kindly email your urgent concerns and contact details to bpitrade@bpi.com.ph.

In other words, their site bogs down so they suggest that people call in. Then their phones bog down and they redirected you to contact them online.

What a joke.
